Two New Young Adult Fiction Books from Stella Perrott!

Finding Freeway

On their way home from a horse show, Lizzy and her parents encounter a small dog darting perilously close to the freeway.

Compelled by compassion, they rescue the frightened animal and welcome him into their family, naming him Freeway. His origins and intended destination remain a mystery, sparking curiosity and wonder.

Freeway proves to be a bundle of joy and energy. He’s affectionate, brave, independent, and playfully mischievous, delighting in accompanying Lizzy and her friends on their horseback rides across the moors.

However, intrigue deepens when Freeway mysteriously vanishes one evening, only to return with an unexpected and lavish item.

Questions abound: Where did he find this luxurious gift? What secret adventures is Freeway embarking on?

Finding Magic

In the picturesque setting of the Devon Moors, Magic, a lonely pony, waits for his cherished owner, Victoria, unaware of the tragedy that has struck the Dixon family.

Lizzy, a newcomer to the area, stumbles upon this neglected pony during her explorations of the countryside. At the sound of her voice, Magic’s ears perk up, signalling the beginning of a new chapter. Lizzy, moved by his plight, names him Magic and embarks on a quest to uncover his past. Her journey leads her to the heart-wrenching reason behind his abandonment.

As Lizzy forges a deep connection with Magic, they encounter resistance from those who disapprove of their bond. Together, they navigate challenges brimming with danger and adversity, testing the strength of their newfound friendship.

This heartwarming story is a testament to the power of compassion and the unbreakable bonds formed in the face of hardship.

An awkward attraction develops, as several colourful characters embark on a bumpy rollercoaster ride.

An outdated stately home – haunted secret garden – hidden past and impossible love affair.

Driving Mister Crazy is available now as an ebook on Kindle or print on Amazon, Dymocks, Barnes & Noble, and Waterstones.

Stella's Debut Novel:

The Sky Is Bluer

Kathy Barron is a nurse in the war-torn African country of Rhodesia.

In 1974 while on honeymoon in South Africa, a stranger triggers her long-supressed memory.

‘I know you’ll think I’m crazy, Rick, but that’s the man I saw kill my brother.’

But the police consider Kathy an unreliable witness.

‘You were six-years-old, the light was poor and you’ve only come forward fifteen years later…leave the detective work to the police and go back to Rhodesia, Mrs Barron.’

Three years on, the Rhodesian Bush War has intensified.

Kathy and her family leave the country they love and emigrate to South Africa.

She revisits the scene of her brother’s murder – then starts her own search for his killer.

About Stella Perrott

One of Stella’s favourite memories is sitting around a log fire under the African sky sharing stories with family and friends – the sound of laughter and chatter.

She grew up in beautiful, rural Zimbabwe, where she lived through a terrorist war, then moved to South Africa and now lives in Australia.

Her life journey has been eventful with its highs and lows.

Stella’s characters portray strong-minded women and close friendships. Even when all seems lost they find the determination to endure.

To Stella, family and friends are everything.
